Station Situation

Marazion Wendy station is on the Station car park, Marazion beach, just to the East of Penzance. The area is popular with kite buggies, windsurfers, sailors, etc. For detailed location, see the linked map.|OS Grid ref: SW507311|Altitude: 33ft (10m)

Interpreting Readings

There is no particular wind direction that is critical to the general use of the station. The anemometer is approx 30 feet above ground level, and is in clear air for most directions. The station is some 50 feet AMSL at most. It reads out in Knots and Beaufort Force, rather than in MPH, like all our coastal stations.
