• The data is available here, on our website, but you can also telephone the stations, and get a voice readout of conditions - useful when you are on the road on your way....
• Our Alert Service sends you email or text messages when conditions are good at your favourite sites – you can set up the winds you like, and Wendy will keep an eye on things, and let you know when it’s good!

With Annual or Monthly Membership, you get access to the weather data, on both our website and by telephone. (Phone access is useful when you are away from home or work, on the road, say, and trying to decide where to go).

Phone Access

Calls are to normal BT local numbers, beginning - 01 or -02. For example, Devils Dyke, near Brighton, is on 01273-857-002. These are NOT expensive charge numbers!
The calls are usually free as part of your call package with your telephone company, either landline or mobile. There is a limit of one call per 15 mins to each individual station for each user, for technical reasons.

Website Access

If your computer accepts cookies, then access to the website is unlimited. If you are coming in from two or more computers, say one at work and one at home, you can't set cookies on both machines - auto-logon with cookies gives unlimited access one one machine, and on the other, you are allowed in once per 30 mins. You cannot stay logged into the website data permanently, with a rolling display of weather - you log in when you want to look at the weather, then leave.

The Alert Service

You go onto our website as a Member, and choose the weather station or stations you want, then choose the wind speed and direction you like at each station. Then you choose the days and times when you want messages sent to you.

For example, you might choose Calshot (Southampton), wind direction between South and West-South-West, speed more than 10 mph, but less than 20 mph, messages to be sent to you only at weekends, between 8am and 6pm. The system will then keep an eye on things for you and send you an email or text message to let you know when those conditions occur. Emails are free, but there is a charge of 12p each for text messages.
